Our Last Goodbye Deborah Jones
In the presence of jealous moon
Chaperoned by rainy days that come to soon
The flicker of love we once shared
We now disavow
Caress me now without cause or circumstance
Let us drink from the silver chalice of adulation
Cherishing every sip as we pledge to endow
I bid to you our last goodbye
Hoping pleading praying that you forget me never
for time has no memory but is the mascot of our fate
that keeps us bound to the idolizing notion of romance ever-more
Unspoken words of our body and soul cry out
As the tears of two lovers past unfurl
The time grows nigh
As we play host to our last goodbye
