ABOUT
THE AUTHOR
Sixteen. Growing up too fast. Poetry in motion, verses flying past her on the highway. And she breathes in the air. She can smell the perfume of decaying unpublished literature. To her, it reminds her of home And the Pennsylvania sunshine. [June 2004]

Paint A Sky Gray Vianne-Marie Fortier
Someday you will see it my way
And feel the pain that I have known all too well.
You will awaken in your bed
With the tears streaming from your face.
You will see it my way
And the pain will be unbearable.
You will cry out a
Name, but see no face.
And find no refuge from the voice that
Still haunts your memory.
Someday you will see it my way
You can almost bet you will be talking to the shadows,
Gently trying to brush a shoulder that isn't there.
Someday you will see it my way
You will be coerced to paint the sky gray with your
Fingers instead of a golden sun with Van Gouh's brush.
Someday I hope you go through what I have
And maybe you'll see it
My way and the pain I have known all too well.
