After church we were driving to Wal*Mart and my mom was telling us how these Illegal Mexicans took down our flag and put theres up at a post office in California and threatened to beat and kill this woman. And about a man getting arrested for burning a mexican flag but a teacher didn't after burning two American flags so we were all bashing the mexicans and everything until we got into Wal*Mart. Well we got some dishwasher detergant and ballons for a science project and I got this really cute copper purse and we all got some stuff and we were in the check out isle and Nichole wanted to she the little horse ride and my mom told me to go with her and I didn't want to since I was on crutches but she was all I should since there was a bench out there. So I did and there was this old little man with a cane out there standing right in the middle of the little room by the bench. But I sat out there anyway not really worring about it. Then he asked me what I did to my ankle and being in the small town where everyone was curious and nice I answered "I hurt it on the trampoline." He said ouch and started telling me about him having diabetes and how he would eat a lot of sugar when he shouldn't have and how it messed his diabetes up his limbs and his hands and feet went numb. And how he took a bunch of medicine and he could feel some feeling in his hand if someone touched him. And how he would hate when his wife and sister would leave him alone when they went to the store or something and now he likes it because he likes to be alone to pray. He was telling me about his faith in God and how you have to keep up with God's word and believe and pray. And then my mom came out and he started telling her about what he told me and she would smile and nod then started walking away and soon she was outside so I went to follow her and the guy goes my name is Pedro you know pedro and I'm like ok and he is like pray for me and remember pedro loves you and he'll be praying for you. And keep praying and having faith in God. I said nodded and before I left I said I'll be praying for you. It was kind of weird because he was the first person ever to witness God to me. It was odd that someone out of know where loves me and is willing to pray for me. God sends down good people and I thought I would never meet one...my mom is like its no big deal and I shouldn't talk to strangers but still that just makes me realize that I am afraid to talk about God at times because of what people may think but he just witnessed to me with no fear...and when I think about it he was in the middle of the room and it seemed as if he was waiting for somone to come and sit so he could tell his story but when I looked back as we were drving away he was gone...
I called my friend Jessica and told her about it and she was like wow you were blessed. We talked about if we thought it was just a polite little old man or if we thought he was an Angel, I know it may sound silly but like I started falling behind on God and he shows up and makes me realize I havn't been putting all my faith in God and it's just kind of "wow" no one I know shows that kind of kindness around here...
