across Dresden flesh like fresh tattoos.
Blood: vital essence drawn from veins
scorched by lethal passion.
Embraced by the moon,
eyes shot with silver, revealing nothing,
he wipes the scarlet smear from lips
made plump, engorged … sated,
leaving nothing behind but a razor-edged smile
pierced by sharp promise.
