Sea Avis
The Sea
The sea breeze whispers songs in my ear The velvet sands carpet my bare feet below My heart feels light, as light as the waves Foaming and frothing with rhythmic beats
The sea is so calm, calm is my mind Happy and peaceful and so sublime Living so near so close to the sea, has taught me to appreciate its beauty so free
The sea and its treasures so rare and so safe Just like a human mind, a mystery to trace The sea fascinates me with a radiance of its colours Spilled out in its waters, pinks and lavenders
The sea and its beauty, brilliant aquamarine Changes to crimson watching the sun setting scene The splendor and grandeur of the sea enchant me All its hidden secrets challenge and taunt me
And when in death I’d like to sleep in one of the coral islands No one to know me, no one to see me Save the sea’s warm embraces

"Great work...For a first Poem, the Sea is fantastic... i like the way u have used colour to make the sea not just the blue that is usually expected but a spectrum of colors that creates colorful images in the minds of the readers. Simple language used by u is also very enjoyable and does keep the reader at ease." -- Sharon.
