Softer Than Silk
Kennedy O Obohwemu

Love has a great touch,
Its ways are not rough;
It doesn't bother much,
Needn't prove to be tough;

It's as gentle as sleep,
A calm summer sea;
With it you're sure to reap,
And everyone will see;

It's a flowing stream,
A very calm one;
Like a generous dream,
It gives to everyone;

See the steady flow,
You feel the freshness;
The plants will surely grow,
They tell of its brightness;

Love's as soft as a wool,
It's smooth and delicate;
A most essential tool,
It remains so sedate;

It's not a loud horn,
Not a roaring thunder;
It's a rosy morn,
Asilent wonder;

It's a beautiful thing,
A nourishing milk;
And it's never mean,
It's softer than silk!
