I wish I were
that black 
house beetle, 
still, beneath the
splintered skirting 
that no 
one can hope
to reach....
                Or the 
                blue, red, and white 
                weathered graffiti,
                scrawled on the railway bridge,
                that every-
                one ignores...................Or the
                                                     spider, 
                                                     whose front door,
                                                     is that oh so small 
                                                     ochre coloured rust hole 
                                                     at the crown of the school gate, 
                                                     that no 
                                                     one ever
                                                     knocks.................................................
                                                                                                                 I wish I were,
