Starlit Kirsten McManus
The moon was covered by the clouds and, still, I don't know why
Even though the deer was fun, I missed it, missed his eyes
The ocean seemed to suck me in, then throw me right back out
I broke down and quilled the lobster, and now I'm wanting out
I don't want to count the ripples as a macaw a l l a l o n e
And I'm afraid of becoming wood and rotting a l l a l o n e
I seem to find the octopus instead of the crab
And I'm thinking that the ending will leave me feeling bad
The scale and the lion aren't even supposed to mix
And now that we don't play as much, I want to have the tricks
I'll turn his key and make him crash under my control
But that won't be happening because he's a part of my soul.
