The Differences Of Love

Love is a very big topic. In this topic there are many questions that go with it. What is love? Is love an action or a feeling? Is there more than one type of love? Well here are the answers.
First of all, love can be defined in many ways. Here's the definition from the "New Webster's Expanded Dictionary." Love-To regard with affection to like; to delight in. To be in love; to be tenderly attached. Warm affection; fond attachment; the passion between the sexes; the object beloved; a word of endearment; Cupid the god of love; the score of nothing at tennis ect.
Secondly, love is both an action and feeling. Our love is more of a feeling we have towards someone. God's love is an action. I'll explain it a little later.
Okay, now that we have thoughsanswered and out of the way. I want to go into the difference between our love and God's love. How does the world define love? A strong feeling towards someone? Someone you have sex with? Now I want you to thinl how do you define love? How do you express it? Also, do you even know what it is? In 1 Corinthians 13 4-8 it explains how God loves us and how we should love people. It says: "Love is patient, love is kind, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no records of wrong. Love does not delight in ecil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preseveres. Love never fails." That is the New International Version. Why can't we love God and others this way? The answer is because we are not perfect. We are far from it and though we may good at some of these areas we need to work on others. See we may feel a close attachment to someone but that is way different from GOd's love. He gave his son to die on the cross. That is an action of his love. His son Jesus Christ was tortured and beaten, so bad that he could not be recognized as a human being. They nailed his wrists to the cross which caused more pain because it hit a nerve. They ridiculed him and put a crown of thorns on his head then they took a spear and stuck it through his side. He could have saved himself, but he didn't. Know why he didn't save him self? He didn't want to and it wasn't his purpose. He loved us and wanted us to have a stronger relationship with God.
Obviously, you can see a great difference between our love and God's love. And I urge all who read this if you don't know God, go to church, read the bible. Ask God to come into your heart. Even the people who already no God I urge you to keep studying God's word and go to church. But for the people who don't know God life will be better for you, when you have God making your life a miracle and while he is carrying you through the rough and easy times of your life. You cannot make it alone I promise you that. God Bless You All.

"well... i wanted to point out a few things about what you wrote... i too am a believer of God and his son... yes the difference between Gods love and our love are two different thigs... thought i do believe that as his children we can learn the ways of His love... in this essay i could see the point that you were trying to get across though... i don't believe that everyone else would undersand it as the same..yes, Jesus did suffer a horrible death, but when explaining to those who don't know the story... "how is that supposed to show love"... i'm sorry i'm having a hard time getting the piont out right... lol... i know from expereinse, and from my friends that reading this dosn't scream "God take me as yours now" at the end of what you wrote you urge poeple to go to church, i know that i will never "be a member" of a church ever again... because of the hurt that is caused in so many places that men call God's house... yes you can learn a lot from "church" but i know that a lot of poeple turn from God becuse of having to deal with man's church... we are the body of Christ! and the poeple of God are the Church... church isn't a building with 4 walls... there's so much to say that i know i can't and i don't even know if you're even going to want to listen to what i say... i'm not trying to bring you down or anything.. so please don't take affence to anything that i wrote..if you want to talk about you can always e-mail me... though for some reason it's not letting me write it down in this review...lol so you can look me you.. it should be there" -- Carla Thomson.
