The Kings Kate Kerrison
In the kings we’re stood at the bar
Bobs got a lager Dave’s going to score
Simons smiling quite beguiling
Wondering if she’s here
Oh Oh
Pints are poured and vodkas drunk
Shots are bought and gin is sunk
We’re proceeding, slightly reeling
To the dawn on Christmas morn
We are smiling being cool
Bobs got drunk and Dave’s the fool
Simons smiling still beguiling
There she is across the room
Oh oh
Pints are poured and vodkas drunk
Shots are bought and gin is sunk
We’re proceeding, slightly reeling
To the dawn on Christmas morn
In the Kings there’s a fight at the bar
Bobs in a heap and Dave’s on the floor
Simons smiling not so beguiling
She’s gone home alone
Oh oh
Pints are poured and vodkas drunk
Shots are bought and gin is sunk
We’re proceeding, slightly reeling
To the dawn on Christmas morn
Outside he kings we say goodnight
Bobs blacked his eye and Dave’s split his lip
Simons smiling always smiling
Maybe he’ll see her soon
Oh oh
Pints have been poured
And vodkas drunk
Shots have been bought
And gins been sunk
We’re still proceeding , slightly reeling
To the dawn on Christmas morn
