TITLE (EDIT)
The Personification Of A Cello
DESCRIPTION
Assignment for Freshman English. This is definitely the best poem I've ever written.
[59 words]
AUTHOR
Vianne-Marie Fortier
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Sixteen.
Growing up too fast.
Poetry in motion, verses flying past her on the highway.
And she breathes in the air.
She can smell the perfume of decaying unpublished literature.
To her, it reminds her of home
And the Pennsylvania sunshine.
[June 2004]

The Personification Of A Cello
Vianne-Marie Fortier

The cello is a woman
With a soul of vivid melody.

She keeps her hair curled
In a forties hairdo.

She has a slim neck
To emit her beautiful voice.

She has feminine curves
A set of rounded hips and dramatic breasts.

She has a slender back
Of cherry wood.

The cello is a wooden woman
With a sad song and a talent for singing low.
