Was I ever once worth the time,
A penny, a nickel or a dime?
Did my dreams ever matter,
Did you wait to see them shatter?
I’d longed for the touch of a man,
The soft, the rough of his hand.
The whispered innuendos in my ear,
The brush away of one last tear.
Was I ever once worth the time it took,
Or ever once worth just one more look?
Did you ever once turn around to see,
All the things I’d hoped to be?
