angeltess: but we dont’ even know you!

[ghost]: DOES THE NAME MICHELLE HARRIS RING A BELL??????

Tess now paused and looked around the room in alarming manner. Michelle covered her smile with a look of false concentration.

lee2001: look this is very weird. don’t you know stalkers can get up to life in prison?

[ghost]: AND DON’T YOU KNOW MURDERERS CAN GET LIFE ALSO? THAT MEANS YOU TWO. I KNOW THE TRUTH. MICHELLE WAS NOT THE KILLER. BOTH OF YOU WERE!

angeltess: you haven’t told the police, so you must want something.

[ghost]: right. REVENGE. on the both of you. you must die for what you did to Michelle.

lee2001: stop it. look at what happened to garret. do you want that to happen to you?

[ghost]: you are in no position to threaten me. I call all the shots.

angeltess: no you don’t. you can’t do anything to us.

[ghost]: oh i can’t? well tess, dearie, i am watching you right now.

Tess jerks her head up and scans the room in fear. Michelle lowers her head and smiles.

[ghost]: stop looking around so much before someone gets suspicious. what’s wrong, scared?

lee2001: tess, get out of there NOW

[ghost]: nope. one move and she dies. see if i care if the police come after me. i’m a ghost.

lee2001: look, no harm. whatever you want, we will do it.

[ghost]:I want you to die! But, something sweeter will be better. Today, I want you two to fess up about what happened and tell the truth to the police. Then you won’t die.

angeltess: it seems like you know everything that we have done. so it must be only one person, agent robertson!

[ghost]: do you see any agent robertson in this room?

angeltess: no, i guess not.

[ghost]: TURN YOURSELVES IN AND NO ONE WILL HAVE TO DIE. IF NOT, YOU WILL BE KILLED BEFORE THE SUNRISE. YOU HAVE 4 HRS. DO IT!
[ghost] has left the room

Tess grabbed everything she had and quickly ran out of the library, obviously something had disturbed her. Michelle laughed wickedly inside as she and Little Bobby exited the school and got ready to wait. Four more hours to go......

3 hours left, Thomastown

I hurried home. Now I was getting those old feelings and memories that I would like to forget. I kept looking over my shoulder to see if someone was following me or if someone was attempting a drive-by shooting. The gruesome things I did flashed in my mind. FLASH! No, not a flashback. FLASH! Jay’s head, crunched by the computer monitor, blood everywhere. FLASH! Jayson’s body being consumed by the flames. And me, shooting him like a dog. FLASH! Tyler, yelling and screaming curses at me. Me getting enraged and shooting 5 times. BLAM! BLAM! BLAMBLAMBLAM! FLASH! “ NOOOOO! “ I yelled, surprising myself. How many more people have to suffer just because of this game?! No, I will not get involved with this. I am calling Agent Robertson as soon as I get home. I thought. No matter how hard I try, it always comes back to haunt me. Like a ghost.

2 hours to go, Portersville

Tess was home alone. Which felt like hell. Sitting there alone, already being watched earlier by someone that called themselves a ghost. Tess didn’t know what was worse, turning herself in or having a showdown with the enemy again. Neither one made her feel better. Someone was watching me. Someone already knows if I will turn myself in or not. She thought. Then the phone rang. Riing! Riing! Tess jumped like a scared cat. “ Just a phone. “ she said to herself as she picked it up. “ Hello? “ she said cautiously:

Lee: Tess, it’s me Lee. Don’t turn yourself in. I called Agent Robertson and he said that he is on the next flight from Washington. He said lay low and don’t do anything.

Tess: Lee, but what if someone attacks me? They said that they were watching me.

Lee: Call the police. We are innocent, remember?

Tess: Yes we are.[Lee hangs up]

30 minutes after deadline, Thomastown

Michelle sat in her hotel room, watching the minutes go by. It was now 9:30pm. Thirty minutes after the deadline. No word or special bulletin yet that the real murderers had come forth. A knock startled Michelle. “ Come in. “ she said. The door opened and King Cobra stood in its place. “ It’s time. Get the boys and get busy. “ He said and closed the door. Michelle sighed as she grabbed her items and got up. I tried to reason with them, gave them a way out. But now, I’m going to give them hell and get my revenge the right way. She said as she prepared to become the killer so many people had accused her of.

Williams Household, 9:45pm

I sat around nervously and tried to get my mind off of the threats and the taunts. Of course Tess and I were not going to turn ourselves in. But no doubt at nine o’clock, I was scared shitless. I was prepared, adrenaline pumping in my veins. But nothing happened. Now it was 9:45 and so far so good. Then...... VRRRRREEW. All the electricity in the house had just went out. I stopped on my tracks. Straining my ears against my brother saying that he couldn’t see, straining against the wind whipping the trees back and forth, trying, trying to hear the slightest hint of danger sneaking around us like the air. Then......KER-CRASH! Someone burst in the upstairs window! I was upstairs! KER-CRASH! Another crash as someone else barreled in the downstairs window. I ran out of the room and was quickly met by an attacker. He grabbed my hands and pulled me to him. I kept running and we both slammed into the walls. He had rubber gloves on, meaning to kill. I was kneed in the stomach and shoved to the floor. I sucked air back in like a Hoover vacuum, but he was advancing with a gun in one hand, knife in the other. As he neared my door, I grabbed my stereo system and pulled on the power cord. It leaned, and then fell. The attacker was trying to hold the stereo from falling into him. While he struggled, I snatched the knife from his hands and kicked his knees in. BRASH! He was under the stereo. I ran out of the room and locked the door. I am not killing anyone this time. I said as I rushed downstairs. As I entered the living room, my parents both shouted, “ WATCH OUT! “ No time to look, just think. I ran full speed and jumped over the kitchen counter. BLAMBLAMBLAMBLAMBLAM! A gunman shot at me as I was jumping. As I was down for cover, another gunshot rang, and my father cried out in pain. I stood up just long enough to see the gunman closing the door of a black van. I looked down and was horrified. My father had been shot. Not fatally, thank God. His arm was bleeding very badly. My mom tried to tend to him but she was crying pitifully. Then I noticed. “ Mom, where’s Jimmy? “ I said, referring to my brother. She cried and pointed outside. “ They took him after they shot your father. The took him in the van! “ she said as she put her hands on her head. A noise from behind me made me look just in time. Swoosh! The other attacker swung the bat at me with great force! I stepped back and ran into the kitchen. He was right after me, angry. I started throwing glasses, plates, mugs, anything at the attacker to slow him down. I snatched a pan and used it as a shied. He swung! BLANG! I blocked. He swung again, I ducked. The bat hit air and he was off balance. I took my chance as I grabbed a bottle of champagne that my parents had been saving for about 12 years and went upside his head with it. BLASH! He held his head and cried in pain. I stabbed him again and again with the broken glass. Then, thinking about all the pain that I brought to my family, I took his bat and smacked him in the head as hard as I could. CRAACK! He was knocked out cold. I hit him again and again in the head. I wanted to make sure he was dead. After a while I stopped. I went back to the living room. “ Are you ok? “ my mom said with fear. I nodded. On the floor was a letter. It said:

Now you see what we are capable of. If you want to see your brother again, come to the Frosteg house. Anything funny and your brother is dead.

“ What did you just do? “ my mother asked me while putting pressure on my dad’s arm with a towel. “ I did what was necessary. “ I said. I grabbed the attacker’s rubber gloves and ran upstairs to my father’s closet. I took his silver plated Colt .45 and some clips. I ran back downstairs now, ready for war. My mother was on her cell phone, calling the ambulance and the police. While she was talking, I took her car keys and jumped through the broken window. “ No, where are you going? Stop! “ she said sternly. I took one last look at her and my dad, then turned around. “ I am going to get Jimmy back. “ I said. Little did I know that those were going to be the last words that I would ever say to them.
