I have had several articles published in the local newspaper. Since December I have
had three articles published in "True Story" and one in "True Life".
In 1994, two stories, "BUDDIES" and "DADDY’S CHAIR", were
published in the anthology, "GIFTS OF OUR FATHERS… Remembrances of Father and
Grandfathers". I also have received several honorable mentions for poetry. I am the
mother of one daughter, and the grandmother of two boys, who are the lights of my life. I
care for them on a daily basis while their parent’s work. I have a wide range of
interest, but my main one is writing. I have written since 10 years of age, when my
teacher told me I had the ability to be published. I am currently working on a novel.

I am 25, and a writer in the darkest hours of the night when sleep fails to bestow
its virtues upon me. I am not like Poe, "The Death Reader" is unique to me in
it's morbid nature. I am a writer that appreciates the use of fine and interesting prose
and great, excessive descriptions. Character is more important to me than an intricate
plot, though I love the effect of a momentous, instant action (such as the rape of a dead,
nameless woman.)
Poetry is a random occurence in my life. When I find it within myself to write a
poem, I sit up and listen to what my soul is saying.
In daylight, I am an events planner living in Los Angeles. I smile with both
sincerity, flattery, and a bit of cynicism when people tell me that I resemble a modern
day Marilyn Monroe.
